To all ALMS drivers, 3/14/07
The 2007 season is coming up real soon and I just wanted to touch base with you folks and let you know a few things.
We now have a official heat race sponser. The 2007 heat race sponser will be Wynns Auto Parts. Wynns sponsorship money will be used to increase the 2007 point fund.
The 2007 point funds will be increased by $4200.00
We now have a website for the ALMS series. You can go to it by typing in www.americanlatemodelseries.com
I need all of you drivers that have not already done it to send in your 2007 membership form for the series. It only cost $20.00 and makes you eligible for provisionals, point fund money and other information. We will also be sending out 2007 drivers cards as soon as we get most of you sighned up. Also if you join UMP at the same time as you join ALMS, I will give you a $20.00 discount on your UMP memebership. If you join UMP you will be eligible for other things, such as the weekly newsletter, several point funds (National, Regional and State) and most important additional insurance. So if you send me $100.00 you will be eligible for ALMS and UMP benefits. You can go to www.umpracing.com and get the UMP membership.
I look forward to the 2007 and hope with your help we can make this series even bigger and better. Remember I told a lot of you I would get more races and I did, I also told you I would raise the point fund and I did , Not only with the ALMS series, but also with the UMP point fund in 2006. I need all of you drivers to support the ALMS series as much as you can and also support our local UMP tracks as much as you can.
